Open Source Productivity Tools Course

The title of the entry is the name for the inter-semester module that I'm taking now. Yes, it sounds 'chim'. I wold have never choose it if not for my encounter with Firefox web browser during my Industrial Attachment. Being required to build extensions for Firefox web browser, 'forces' me to get into contact with the Mozilla community (they are the ones who developed Firefox web browser). It really puzzles me as to why would any one wants to distribute 'free' software like Firefox web browser. Why is this web browser gaining more users even thought Internet Explorer is so common and widely available? Why does Firefox's forum have so many devoted and dedicated members ? Why!!??
This module which I'm currently taking explains all my doubts. Seriously, I find it interesting to learn about politics which the cyber arena. Lol.. You get to know the history of open source tools or what is known as FLOSS --Free/Libre Open Source Software. In the beginning, like anyone who has a right mind, I tend to associate 'Free' with the 'Free of charge' meaning. Well, it's partially correct but that is not the actual meaning. The actual meaning is that the source code of the software is available as well, enabling people to looking at it and modify it to their liking.
Adding on, I never in my entire life knows about so many free software that we can download and use legally. More importantly, the are quite similar to Microsoft software. Eg: you have the Open Office tools which consists of tools similar to Microsoft word or presentation. Cool huh...For 'free' you can also use 'The Gimp' which have similar functions as the Photoshop. There's more la. Lol...
I even learn about a new type of copyright which is called cc. Instead of the traditional 'All rights reserved' , it indicates 'Some rights reserved'. Aiya..there's just so much juicy stuff during the lessons.
I maybe alone during the lectures, I maybe yawning most of the time, I maybe the one of the six girls among forty plus guys...but I'm sure I made the right choice in taking up this elective.

Animal Resort Trip

Hm..Is it last Saturday or the previous one? Anyway, on one of June's Saturday, Me ,Ex and Xuan and all our boyfriends went on a trip to Animal resort. Sounds familiar or have you never hear before? It's not Zoo ok? Lol...Since most of the photographs are in Xuan's camera ( I've no idea when she will have time to upload it.) and June (my ex) have recently posted her entry on our Animal Resort Trip, I don't feel the need to replicate the entry. IA is ending!!

YEAH!! I've never feel so happy before. It's hard to describe this feeling.. Lol.. It feel better than celebrating National Day!! Tomorrow will be the last day of my Industrial Attachment. I can't wait for it to end since it indicates the beginning of more long yearn holiday. Moreover, I'll be going to Animal Resort with Ex, Xuan and their boyfriends. Meh meh is going too. I've never been there before and I wanna wanna GO!! Lol.. So looking forward to Saturday. We planning to makan at Ya Kun in the morning and go there on Steven's lorry and we'll go some place to have a nice enjoyable dinner. That day will definitely be memorable. Hehe..
Adding on, I can officially slack at work! Lol..cause I've just finish writing my research paper and handled to Mr Huang. I don't know if he'll tell me to revise it but that will not be an issue for now when he haven't look through it. For now, all I can do is to SLACK. Wee Wee!
Keke... I'm also wanna meet up with Jac and Joan and Ping and so many more friends! I hope I can meet up with everyone at least once before the beginning of my 4th year in NTU. Final year in university, SUX. I believe I'll be more stress than ever. FYP, 4th year modules(cannot fail any of them),Grad trip (Japan hopefully), Job( Interviews..resume..CV..) and Results ..ARGH! So many stuff to worry about. If only everything can just fall in place smoothly which most probably they wouldn't.
IA is ending but it's the beginning of another tiring and lonely year in Uni. Why am I sure a worrier and why isn't there anything that doesn't needs me to worry about???

KaWaIi~ Baby Rabbits!!

I got 2 baby rabbits are my house!! Yeah~ Mama wants it so sister brought two home after her friend's rabbit gave birth. Super kawaii!!! Lol..One is brown in color and the other is white. The white one super fat (compared to the brown one) that is why me and sister prefer to play with the brown one.
When you take them out from the cage, you can easily hug them close to you with two hands!! That's how small they are but they'll got till quite big next time. I've seen the adult rabbits and they not as cute as they are when they are young. That is why I'll cherish the moments I have with them when they are young. Whaha~ (evil grin) I know it's not right to have this kind of feelings towards animals. But I can't help it. I'm not a rabbit fan so I know I can't stand adult size rabbits jumping around my house. Anyway, no worries guys cause my sister and mama will take care of them even if they've grown. For now, I'll just cuddle, touch and hug them before they got big.
Oh ya... when you hold the brown rabbit and rock it like a baby, it' feel sleepy and it's eyes will become smaller. SUPER DUPER ADORABLE! Haha... we don't know their genders yet as they are too young for us to identify their gender. I hope both of them are of the same gender though. I don't want them to give birth. I heard for my sister that the after birth female rabbit will produce a lot of poo poo. Yes, rabbit poo poo. It's meant for the baby rabbits to eat ( What the heck? Mother telling babies to eat their poo poo.) . Of course, we wouldn't let that happen. But the pile of poo poo will have to be cleared away and it'll be quite troublesome. I don't wanna be 'Qing Qao Fu' ok? So I'll just pray hard for them to be of the same gender(PLS). Lol... Do look at the pictures..(I played with the brown one more so the only picture I have of the white one was when it was in the cage. Lol)
